Everyone gets angry from time to time. Anger is just one of many normal emotions.
Well-managed anger can be a useful emotion that motivates people to make positive changes in their life.
Unfortunately people often express their anger in inappropriate and harmful ways. They use their anger as a way to manipulate others and feel powerful.
Uncontrolled anger may have destructive results for the angry person and those closest to them. Uncontrolled anger can lead to arguments, physical fights and abuse, assault and self-harm. Unmanaged anger also could lead to health problems.
If something doesn’t go your way, do you get angry?
Does your anger upset and scare people around you?
Do you sometimes throw and break things when you are angry?
If “Yes” this is the time to talk with someone to help you control this emotion before you hurt those closest to you.
