1in 5 Australian adults has experienced violence and abuse by a partner.

When we speak about domestic violence, we generally mean women who are suffering from male-abusers. It’s not true nowadays.

Men could be victims of domestic violence as well.

Violent persons use different forms of abuse to ruin a victim’s self-esteem and self-confidence, dominate in the relationship.

It may not always be obvious that a person is in an abusive relationship. It can be common for someone who is being abused to believe that it’s their own fault and that they somehow ‘deserve’ the abuse.
